Eyebrows? Here's How

Life and time can be measured and marked in all kinds of ways, and mine can basically and accurately be split as follows: the time before I learned how to fill in my eyebrows, and after. People compliment my eyebrows all the time. I thank them, and tell them that they can live happily ever after with their own eyebrows, too! You too, blondes and gingers - in fact, especially you, blondes and gingers... you'll just need to use a color appropriate for you (taupe is often a good choice for the fairer sort). I even filled in my brows when I had bright pink hair, dying my brows the same color and using a coordinating lipliner to pencil my brows. Yep!

Anyway, I'm asked how to do the brow makeup often, so please enjoy the tutorial. What's not pictured is the basic groundwork: I get my brows waxed once every few months or so, and I tweeze and trim in between. Also, I must mention my friend Erin! Everything I know about how to fill in my brows, I learned from Erin Dish. Dig if you will her glorious self over at the blog Work With What You've Got, for she is awesome.

Yes, also, how about those circles, right? I know! I've always been prone to dark circles under my eyes - they are most obvious when I'm feeling poorly - and they were especially awesome in this set as I had three hours of sleep the night before. I'm hardcore like that.

Lately, I love owls. Not somber owls. Not stern owls. Not judgmental owls.

Goofy, wide-eyed, cartoony owls.

Last week when I went to the Hobby Lobby to purchase Mod Podge and glitter so that I could tart up an old pair of flats, I spent some time browsing the jewelry aisles. Because that's what you do when you're at the Hobby Lobby for Mode Podge and glitter. I also spent time in the yarn section, the basket section and... oh, hell, all of the sections.

Any-hoot. I made some earrings, for $3.94:

I love them! I love them even more considering I almost bought the exact same owls - with less cool earwires - on Amazon for $9.99 (regularly priced at $25.99).

The Kitchen Sink

Or, more specifically, the faucet.

So this is my kitchen sink. It is fairly unremarkable, as sinks go. It doesn't have a garbage disposal, which makes me frowny. I would love a garbage disposal, but installing one is magical trigonometry for which I do not possess knowledge and thus it is also scary. But I digress! My kitchen sink, like most kitchen sinks, has an associated faucet:

Like many faucets, if you want water to appear, you raise the lever thingamabobber (that's a technical term). Like so, see?

That lever doohickey is the troublemaker, and the topic of this post. You guys, it falls down constantly. If you have ever used a sink or context clues, you know this means that the water shuts off.

WHICH DRIVES ME INSANE.

I can't figure out how to fix this. There are no screws or removable parts or anything which seems like it can be tightened. Google isn't helping me because my Google-fu, on this topic, is weak.
